This Is the End is a 2013 American disaster black comedy film based on Jay and Seth versus the Apocalypse by Jason Stone, produced, written and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg in their directorial debut, and stars Jay Baruchel, Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Emma Watson, Rihanna, and Michael Cera. The film centers around a group of real life actors playing ficitionalized versions of themselves, in the aftermath of a global apocalypse. The film premiered at the Fox Village Theater on June 3, 2013 and was released on June 12, 2013 by Columbia Pictures, with a rerelease on September 6, 2013. This Is the End grossed 126 million on amillion budget. This Is the End was released on DVD and Bluray on October 1, 2013.

At the store, beams of blue light come down from the sky and carry away numerous people. Rogen and Baruchel flee back to Francos house amid mass chaos, but find the party undisturbed. Moments later, the earth shakes and the partygoers rush outside. A large hole opens in Francos yard, swallowing several partygoers, while Rogen, Baruchel, Franco, Jonah Hill, and Craig Robinson survive. They take inventory of their supplies, set up a ration system, fortify the house, and await help.The next morning, Danny McBride wakes up first. Unaware of the crisis, he wastes much of their food. The others tell him of the previous nights events, which he initially doesnt believe until an outsider is decapitated in front of them. Tensions rise due to various conflicts, including Baruchel and Rogens growing estrangement, and the others skepticism of Baruchels belief that the disaster might be the Apocalypse predicted in the Book of Revelation. ........
